What are academics and scientists saying about COVID-19? What is their analysis of the effects of this pandemic on the agri-food chain?

One media channel for these authors is The Conversation Canada which was launched in June 2017. It’s an independent source of news and views. As its website says, “Access to independent, high-quality, authenticated, explanatory journalism underpins a functioning democracy. Our aim is to allow for better understanding of current affairs and complex issues. And hopefully allow for a better quality of public discourse and conversations.”

Recently, Bethany Hastle, assistant professor of law, University of British Columbia, published an article titled: “The coronavirus reveals the necessity of Canada’s migrant workers.”
