The Grower columnist interviewed on CBC Radio

With so much focus on Canada’s food chain during the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s not surprising that mainstream media are looking for insight. That’s why Owen Roberts’ column in the May issue of The Grower piqued the interest of a CBC Radio senior producer.

On short notice, Roberts gave 11 interviews on April 28 to hosts in Vancouver, Victoria, Kelowna, Edmonton, Calgary, Saskatchewan, Winnipeg, Whitehorse, New Brunswick, Sudbury and London/Windsor.

The CBC introduction said:  “An agricultural writer is trying to change the conversation involving farm workers who come to Canada from outside our borders by highlighting their skills - not where they come from. Guest host Allison Devereaux spoke with Owen Roberts, president of the International Federation of Agriculture Journalists.”
