CanadaGAP wishes to advise program participants and other stakeholders that the CanadaGAP Food Safety Manual for Fresh Fruits and Vegetables and the CanadaGAP Food Safety Manual for Greenhouse Product will not be updated and reissued for 2024.

Program participants may continue to use the current version of the documents (Version 10.0 2023), which are available to download free of charge on the CanadaGAP website under the Manuals section.

Even though the CanadaGAP Manuals remain the same for 2024, your own copy of the manual needs to be reviewed annually to confirm that you are maintaining the procedures and/or to reflect any changes in your operation.

Please expect to receive from CanadaGAP a Correction Notice for the manuals within the next month or so. A few minor corrections need to be made to the manuals heading into the 2024 growing season. Details will be provided as soon as possible. These minor corrections will not affect the version number of the manuals.

Updates to other CanadaGAP documents:

  • Audit Checklist and Self-Declaration and Self-Assessment Checklist: Please note that the Audit Checklist and the Self-Declaration and Self-Assessment Checklist will be reissued and posted to the website prior to April 1, 2024 when revisions take effect. A revisions document showing the changes between the previous and the new versions of the audit checklist will be available at that time. Program participants and other stakeholders will be informed once the new versions are available.

  • Program Management Manual: This document contains the certification program rules, which will see some minor updates for 2024. The CanadaGAP Program Management Manual will be reissued with revisions effective April 1, 2024.

If you have questions, please contact the CanadaGAP office by calling 613-829-4711 or by emailing info@canadagap.ca.
